PLEASE READ MORE BELOW.\nGet ready to celebrate the return of Offshore Powerboat Racing to Fort Myers Beach. This is not just another points race\, this is the National Championship Race which will see the culmination of the entire OPA race season crown a Champion. Only on Fort Myers Beach do you have so many up close viewing opportunities to feel the Roar of these amazing Boats going past you at up to 180 mph. The entire race will be visible anywhere on the beach from the pier to mid-Island and on the water in the spectator anchoring area. \nThe party will kick off on Thursday October 10th with a parade of race boats over the bridge and onto Old San Carlos Blvd for a street party. Boats will be on display in the streets with live music\, food and a chance to see the awesome race boats up close and to meet the teams that make it happen. \nThe Race Village opens Friday at 9 am at Salty Sam’s Complex with race teams and boats available for viewing and interaction and vendor displays. Teams will be testing on the race course Friday so there will be plenty of action on the water as well. \nSaturday brings three races to our beautiful beach front with more viewing options than other races this season.
